I’ve been there countless times, both for myself and my kids. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when you're already doing your best to eat right and live a healthy lifestyle. Looking back, I wish I had had someone like me to guide me so I could actually get results!
My name is Paulina Ferrari. I'm a wife and mother of three amazing sons. But beyond that, I'm also a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner. I have a deep passion for helping health-minded individuals like you, break free from the cycle of trial and error. I want to provide you with access to the right lab tests and resources so that you can finally uncover the missing pieces of your health puzzle, fix what's wrong, and restore your health and vitality.
In 2015, at the age of 47, I received a diagnosis that changed my life: Hashimoto's — an autoimmune disease. It explained why I was always tired, had cold hands and feet, couldn't get enough sleep, and struggled to lose weight despite my healthy eating habits.
Unfortunately, my doctor didn't go beyond the diagnosis. She simply handed me a sheet of paper with a list of foods to eat. I've been following an autoimmune paleo diet ever since, but my symptoms persisted for years. Something was still triggering my immune system to overreact.
Around the same time, my kids began experiencing their own health issues. We visited over 20 specialists for their headaches, brain fog, stomach aches, joint pain, weight loss, anxiety, and depression. But none of the doctors tried to find the root causes of their symptoms. They were only interested in labeling them and prescribing medications.
The treatments offered to us were far from ideal. The neurologist gave us a choice between antidepressants and anti-seizure meds to treat the headaches. The gastroenterologist never discussed dietary changes for constipation; instead, he suggested medications with horrifying ingredients. As a result, their symptoms only worsened.
In 2017, our family reached a breaking point.
My autoimmune symptoms worsened, and even my medical doctor husband began experiencing brain fog and cognitive impairment. We were all unwell. It was during that year that we discovered the true culprit: toxic mold in our home. Moving out, discarding personal belongings, and starting fresh became our path to healing.
While we received help from a doctor who understood our struggle, there were still many stones left unturned. It wasn't until I graduated from Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® in 2022 that I uncovered the full picture. To my dismay, we were loaded with pathogens, hormonal imbalances, liver congestion, sluggish gallbladders, mycotoxins, heavy metals, and nutrient deficiencies. These were the missing pieces to our health puzzles, and I was determined to get us well.
Because of our family's journey, I offer a highly personalized healing experience and address your body as one interconnected system, while looking for the root(s) of the problem rather than addressing your symptoms.
Now, armed with state-of-the-art functional labs, I have the tools to help you uncover the hidden stressors in your body. I will guide you with diet, rest, exercise, stress reduction, supplements, and environmental bio-hacks so you can heal your body which would allow you to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
